Julius H. Hatchett, Texarkana, Texas; Bowie County 11/3/1985 Julius H. Hatchett, 88, of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday in a local hospital of natural causes. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in East Memorial Chapel with Dr. David Blase officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery with graveside services under direction of Otis Hery Post No. 4562. Mr. Hatchett was born Nov. 10, 1896, in Fulton, Ark., and was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. He worked in the motion picture industry in Texarkana, beginning in the silent movie era. He was an officer in the International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees and served in World War I in the European theater. Survivors include his wife, Bessie O. Hatchett of Texarkana, one son, Harold Hatchett of Texarkana, three daughters, Mildred Newsom of Mt. Vernon, Texas, and Frances Stone and Alice Quillin, both of Texarkana; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
