Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Hillcrest Memorial Park with Otis Henry officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home. Mr. Hughes was born ?? at Nashville, Tenn. He was a retired driver for Greyhound Bus Co., a retired policeman, a veteran of WWII, and had lived in Texarkana for the past 17 years. Survivors include his wife, Bobbye Myers Hughes of Texarkana, two daughters, Tommie Hughes of Texarkana, and Johnnie Hughes of Little Rock, Ark.; three brothers, Melvin Hughes and Austin Hughes, both of Harrison. Ark., and Johnny Hughes of Hulis Sumit, Mo.; two sisters, Jewell Wolson of Waynesville, Mo., and Belle Taylor of Houston, Texas.
