DeKALB, Texas-Billie Mae Humphrey, 81, of New Boston, Texas, died Saturday, 
April 18, 2009, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Humphrey was born Jan. 13, 1928, in Oak Grove, Texas. She was a retired 
secretary with Bill Feazell Insurance Agency and a member of First Baptist 
Church, New Boston. Survivors include her husband, Billy Logan Humphrey of New 
Boston; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Shera Humphrey of Garland, 
Texas, and Ronny and Terry Humphrey of Texarkana; two brothers and one sister-
in-law, Jimmy Holt of Denver and Seldon and Donna Holt of Hooks, Texas; one 
sister, Pat Smith of New Boston; four grandchildren; and 12 great-
grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home with 
the Rev. Ken Cox officiating. Private burial will be in Read Hill Cemetery, New 
Boston. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
