WALTER JARRETT

Walter Jarrett, 73 of Texarkana, Texas died Monday in Mansfield, 
LA after a brief illness.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at East Memorial Chapel with 
the Rev. Auburn Neely Officiating.  Burial will be in Woodlawn 
Cemetery.  Mr. Jarrett was born May 30, 1909 in Mississippi and 
had lived in Texarkana most of his life.  He was a member of the 
First United Methodist Church (Arkansas).  Survivors include two 
daughters, Dorothy Jean Dickey of Texarkana and Clara B. Shumaker 
of Bossier City, LA; one son John Ray Jarrett of Santa Monica, Calif; 
two sisters, Gertrude Hartline of Shreveport La; and Willie B. Whitney 
of Texarkana; two brothers, W. A. "Buzzy" Jarrett of Burlington, Iowa, 
and Buddy Jarrett of Texarkana and a number of grandchildren.
