Obit: Bowie Co Texas - J.D. JOHNSON


             J.D. Johnson 85,of Hooks,Texas died Thursday August 25,2001 in a 
             local hospital.  Mr. Johnson was born October 25,1915 in Hooks.  He was
             retired from Day & Zimmermann Inc, a member of Everett Baptist Church
             and a Mason.  Survivors include his wife,Lois Johnson of Hooks; two
             daughters, Linda Gail Sims of Weston,Texas; and Brenda Kay Watts of
             Hooks; four sisters, Olla Hawkins, Ruby Jones, and Mary Barrett of
             Texarkana,Texas; and Opal Porter of Hooks; and three grandchildren.
             Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today in Everett Cemetery with the
             Rev. Roy Ford officiating under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.
