Nadine Johnson 85,of Redwater, Texas died Thursday January 24,1974 in a Texarkana 
nursing home. Mrs. Johnson was born July 4,1888 in Oxford, Mississippi, and had 
lived in Bowie County for the past 70 years. She was a member of Redwater United 
Methodist Church.   

Survivors include one daughter, Marie McGee of Redwater; four sons, Weldon Johnson 
and Bonny Johnson of Redwater; Arthur Johnson of Carthage, Texas; and Spencer 
Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Emil Spencer of Tatum, Texas; 14 
grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services 
will be 1:30 p.m. today at Redwater United Methodist Church with the Revs. Dee 
Johnson and Leland Maxey officiating. Burial will be in Redwater Cemetery, under 
direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.
