NEW BOSTON, Texas-Lou A. Johnson, 88, of New Boston died Saturday, March 21, 
2015, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Johnson was born Feb. 25, 1927, in Bowie County, Texas. She was a retired 
food preparation with the New Boston School System and a member of Friends of 
New Boston FFA, Genealogical Society and New Boston Church of Christ. She was 
preceded in death by her husband, Ashley "Bo" Johnson.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Morris W. and Linda Johnson 
of Ashdown, Ark., Larry Dan and Jan Johnson, and Samuel Ashley and Deborah 
Johnson of New Boston; on special friend, Paulete Taylor; six grandchildren; 10 
great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. 
Tuesday at New Boston Church of Christ with Steve McIntosh officiating. Burial 
will be in Read Hill Cemetery under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home. 
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Online
