Obit: Bowie Co Texas - EARL JONES July 30,2001


             Earl Wayne Jones 41,of Simms,Texas died Monday July 30,2001 in Simms 
             from injuries received in an auto accident.  Mr. Jones was born July 28,1960 in
             Naples,Texas.  He was a mechanic and a member of Word of Faith Church,
             Simms.  Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Jones of Simms; his mother, Virginia
             Petty of Simms; five brothers, Paul Ingram of Simms; Scott Petty of  
             Duncanville,Texas; Bunkum Wooten of Henderson,Texas Jackie Maroni
             of Wright City,Okla; and Steve Petty of Texarkana; three sisters, Betty
             Prescott of Dallas; and Shannon Chism and Pam Clark of Simms; and a 
             number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.  Services will be 2 p.m.
             Thursday at Word of Faith Church with the Rev. Charles Hillis officiating.
             Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral
             Home.  The family will be at the home of Virginia Petty in Simms.
