J. D. Jones, 65, retired owner of a dry cleaner establishment in Texarkana,
Died Thursday at his home in Zwolle, La. Following a brief illness.

Born July 14, 1902, in Bibsland, La., he had lived in Texarkana most of his
Life.  He was a Shriner.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Doris Jones of Zwolle, a daughter, 
Mrs. Louise Arnold Smith of 4211 Wood, two step sons, Calvin Jones of
Zwolle, and Bobby L. Jones of Baton Rouge, La., a sister, Mrs. E. A. Buck
Of Shreveport, brother W. F. Walker of Wilton, Ark., and a grandson, 
Steve D. Smith of Texarkana.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm Wednesday in the Texarkana Funeral Home
Chapel with Dr. R. B. Butler officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery
Woth graveside services under the direction of Masonic Lodge 672.

Active pallbearers will be members of the Masonic Lodge.
R. Q. Harmon, Sam Wilkie, Harding Brown, and Roy Snow, all of Texarkana.
Dr. Lloyd H. Murdock. V. H. Salter, and Ed Jones all of Zwolle.
Roy Jones of Vivian, and other friends of the family.
