Obit: Bowie Co Texas -  RUTH LEWIS


             Ruth Moree Lewis 72,of Redwater,Texas died Saturday June 1,1996 in
             a local hospital.  Mrs. Lewis was born April 14,1924 in Redwater.  She
             was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church,Redwater.  She
             was preceaded in death by her husband,Jessie L. Lewis,who died on
             September 12,1990.  Survivors include one daughter, Jessie Moree
             Biscamp of Redwater; two sons, Billy Carl Lewis of Maud,Texas; and
             Jerry Lee Lewis of Redwater; one brother,Earl Strickland of Pittsburg,
             Texas; one sister, Jean Green of Redwater; four grandchildren; and
             three great-grandchildren.  Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday in
             Redwater Cemetery with the Rev. Cranford Graves officiating under 
             direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.  The family will be at the Biscamps
             residence in Redwater.
