Ruth DeFee Mathews, age 81, died Monday, 28 March 1988.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Harry M.
Mathews, son, Rev.Leo T.Sweeney, and grandson, Patrick
W. Sweeney.
Survivors; Son, William Sweeney and wife Anna, three 
grandsons, Dieter, Michael and John and one great grandson,
Ryan Patrick. Also a sister, Frances DeFee McLarty of
Dallas, Texas, two brothers, Robert DeFee of Texarkana,
Texas and William J. DeFee of Alexandria, La.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, 31 March, at
10:00 a.m. in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Arrangements with Sunset Funeral Home.



Note: Ruth DeFee Mathews was previously married to Leo
T. Sweeney Sr. of Texarkana, Arkansas. She was born and
raised in Texarkana, Texas and was the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. William Jackson DeFee. Contributor of this information
is the son of Ruth DeFee Mathews.
