Bert Byron Payne 57,of Simms, Texas died Monday May 17,2004 at his home. 
Mr. Payne was born August 21, 1946 in Texarkana, Texas. Survivors include 
three daughters, Lisa Humes of Nash, Texas; Cassandra Holt of Cooper, 
Texas; and Yolanda Norris of Simms; and his parents, Dortha Firth of 
Simms; and Horace Payne Jr. of Hooks, Texas.   Memorial services will be 
6 p.m. Thursday at Calvary  Baptist Church, Simms with the Rev. Roy Ford 
officiating, under direction of East Funeral Home, Downtown. Texarkana
