NEW BOSTON, Texas-Ruby Jean Raney, 83, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, March 
17, 2014, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Raney was born June 10, 1930, in New Boston. She was a homemaker and a 
Baptist. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jason Raney and Jackie Raney.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and John Roddy of 
Mesquite, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Judy Raney of Garland, 
Texas, and Larry and Linda Raney of Arlington, Texas; one daughter-in-law, 
Linda Raney of Texarkana; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Gene Raney 
of New Boston; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of 
other relatives.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. today in Read Hill Cemetery under direction 
of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home.
