Obit: Bowie Co Texas - MARTHA RIGGS

             Martha Riggs 74,of New Boston,Texas died Thursday January 24,2002 in a
             local hospital.  Mrs. Riggs was born February 19,1927 in Decatur,Ala.  She
             was a homemaker and a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.  She
             was preceaded in death by her husband,Hubert Lee Riggs,who died on
             February 19,1989.  Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Riggs of Sheridan,
             Ark; Charles Riggs of Conroe,Texas; and Albert Riggs of Redwater,Texas; 
             three daughters, Mary Threlkeld and Linda Davidson of New Boston; and Doris
             Simms of Campbell,Texas; one brother; one sister; 20 grandchildren; and
             24 great-grandchildren.  Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at East Funeral Home
             Chapel with the Rev. Joe Schafer officiating.  Burial will be in Courtland 
             Cemetery, Queen City,Texas.
