Gaston Frank Sharp 84,of Maud, Texas died Tuesday March 23,2004 in a local care center. Mr. Sharp was born September 13,1919 in Hopkins County, Texas. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a member of Redwater Methodist Church and a decorated Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Georgia Fay Smith Sharp of Maud; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Debbie Sharp of Texarkana; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Melburn and Jannette Smith of New Boston, Texas; one stepdaughter, Glenda Sue Gore of Dallas; one brother, Bob Sharp of Texarkana; two sisters, Virginia Lauer of Hooks, Texas; and Ruby Banister of Searcy, Ark; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Brown and Norman Hooten officiating. Burial will be in Redwater Cemetery, Redwater, Texas.
