Abby Ruth Smith 70,of Redwater, Texas died Wednesday March 3,2004 at her home.  Mrs. 
Smith was born December 14,1933 in DeKalb, Texas.  She was a homemaker, former 
secretary of Redwater First Baptist Church, former employee of Guaranty Bond State Bank 
and a member of Oakridge Missionary Baptist Church.   

Survivors include her husband, Elbert Smith of Redwater; one son,Jim Smith of Redwater; 
four daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda and Jack Kelley, Sandra Smith, and Rhonda and 
Ronnie Lynch of Redwater; and Debra Kambridge of Monroe, La; one brother, Ben Patty of 
Wake Village, Texas; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  Services will 
be 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakridge Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Jason Dudley 
and Steve Rice officiating.  Burial will be in Redwater Cemetery, under direction of 
Chapelwood Funeral Home.    Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
