Texarkana Gazette - Friday, Jan 9, 1953
Martin Luther Spencer, 73, 
of Redwater, Texas, died 
Thursday morning in a 
Rusk, Texas, hospital.  
Survivors include a son, 
Ira L Spencer of 
Texarkana; three sisters, 
Mrs Ida Whaley of Fort 
Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs Ola 
Taylor and Mrs Florence 
Owens, both of Redwater; 
three brothers, F.L. and 
N.H. Spencer, both of 
Maud, Texas and Henry 
Spencer of Redwater; one 
granddaughter; and a 
number of nieces and 
nephews.   The body will 
be returned to the 
Texarkana Funeral Home and 
will remain there pending 
completion of funeral 
arrangements.
