Obit: Bowie Co Texas - JOHNNY WALLACE


             Johnny Gordon Wallace 60,of Texarkana,Texas died Tuesday January 29,
             2002 in Texarkana,Ark.  Mr. Wallace was born January 26,1942 in 
             Texarkana.  He was a heavy equipment operator at Tatum Excavating Co,
             a Baptist, and a Navy veteran.  Survivors include his wife, Nita Jane Burke 
             Wallace of Texarkana; two sons, Anthony Lee of Hooks,Texas; and Gregory
             McAlister of Redwater,Texas; four daughters, Deanna Miller, Shannon Ray,
             and Angela Eason of Texarkana; and Rhonda Hutcherson of Maud,Texas;
             his mother, Opal Porter of Hooks; one brother, Wayne Wallace of Austin;
             five sisters, Jacqueline Caples and Barbara Scott of Texarkana; and 
             Shirley Hickson, Jennie Porter, and Mary Porter of Hooks; 12 grandchildren;
             two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.  Graveside
             services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Everett Cemetery,Hooks with the Rev.
             Roy Ford officiating under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
