Obit: Bowie Co Texas - H.L. WILLIAMS


                   Henry Loyd (H.L.) Williams 92,of Texarkana,Texas died Thursday
                   July 29,1971 at his home,following a brief illness.  Mr. Williams
                   was born February 23,1879 in Houston,Texas.  He was retired 
                   from Texas High School,where he was principal for 25 years and
                   a member of Chapelwood United Methodist Church.  Survivors include
                   his wife,Mabel Leona Williams of Texarkana; one son and daughter-
                   in-law, James and Mary Williams of Colorado Springs,Co; one 
                   daughter,Loretta Williams of Texarkana; two grandchildren,Jimmy
                   Williams of Texarkana; and J.C. Williams of Richmond,Va; two great-
                   grandchildren; and a nephew, Robert Williams of Jefferson,Texas.
                   Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Texarkana Funeral Home Chapel
                   with the Revs. Richard Clayton and Doyle West officiating.  Burial 
                   will be in Rock Springs Cemetery,Texarkana.  The family will be at
                   the Williams residence on Bowie Street,Texarkana.
