NEW BOSTON, Texas-Gaige Kyle Whitehead, 16, of Hooks, Texas died Tuesday, Aug. 
6, 2013, in a Texarkana, Texas hospital.

Gaige was born March 7, 1997, in Texarkana, Texas. He was a student at Hooks 
High School and attended First Baptist Church, Moores Lane.

Survivors include his parents, Chris Whitehead of Hooks and Stephanie Gibson of 
Texarkana; his grandparents, Wanda Whitehead and Buster and Kathy Gibson of New 
Boston; two aunts and two uncles, Stacey and Joe David Johnston of New Boston 
and Shane and Kelly Gibson of Hope; one special niece, Addison Stinson of 
Hooks; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at First Baptist Church, New Boston, with Larry 
Sims officiating. Burial will be in Read Hill Cemetery under direction of Bates-
Rolf Funeral Home.
