Among these are Harold Madara, son of Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Madara stationed on a ship in Pearl Harbor; Charles Savell, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.A. Savell, stationed on a ship from the San Francisco base; Henry Goedecke, son of Richard Goedecke, of Houston, with the army at Fort Mills, P.I., J.D. Mirick of Pearland, last reported on a ship at Manila. Maynard Campbell, on a destroyer in the Pacific; Harlan King, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.E. King, with the army in Honolulu; William Garrett on a cruisier in the Phillipines and Eddie Garrett with the air patrol at Pearl Harbor; Jesse Silvey, son of Mr. and Mrs. H.J. Silvey on a Pacific warship. William Elkins and William Patrick are with the Pacific fleet at an unknown location. Orville Stoltz, formerly of Alvin,, is also with the navy in the Pacific area. Don Martin, brother of Al Martin has been employed for three years by a sugar cane company near Pearl Harbor. Henry Littleton, who made his home with Mr. and Mrs. John Casey, was stationed on an aircraft carrier last reported in Hawaii.
