Bair were held at the Masonic Hall. Rev. W. H. Boggs, pastor of the Methodist Church, assisted in the service, reading two passages of Scripture and offering prayer, after which the service was turned over to the Knights Templar, who carried out their burial services, after which the Blue Lodge took charge of the body and held the services at the cemetery. L. Bair was one of Brownwood's pioneer citizens, but for the past two years had resided in Rogers, Ark., where he died, after a short illness. His wife and two daughters survive him.
