NOLIE W. BOWDEN DIES; RITES TUESDAY Mrs. Nolie W. Bowden of 609 Cedar died in a local hospital at 9 a.m. today following a long illness. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John E. Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Heflin Cemetery near Owens. Mrs. Bowden, the former Lou Ella Busby, was born April 19, 1884, at Mr. View, Ark. and had lived in Brown Co. since she was a young girl. She and Nolie W. Bowden were married here Aug. 26,1903. Surviving are her husband,a son, Johnny W. Bowden, Brownwood, four daughters, Mrs. W.T. Doss, Mrs. Lon Nelson, Mrs. Clyde Shafer and Mrs. Abe Nelson, all of Brownwood: a brother, N. B. Busby of Anson, a half sister, Mrs. Lissie McChristian of Hochatown, Okla, 13 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bowden was a member of the Johnson Memorial Methodist church and was a leader in work of that church many years. Brownwood Bulletin, she died Nov.15,1954.
