At the time of Robert M.Edgar Jr's death he was a band director for Cleburne 

High school he didn't have to go to world War 2 during the draft because he was 

married and had a child but he volunteered to go and was sent to Camp Bowie and 

from Camp Bowie he was sent to Okinwa Japan upon arrival he was killed he was 

buried their in Okinwa and a year after his death he was sent home and buried 

in Greenleaf Cemetery. 



Survivors include his Wife Marjory Steakley Edgar Miles his Parents Mr and Mrs 

Morris Edgar of Brownwood Texas and a sister Mrs.Julian W Sayre of Brownwood 

Texas he was also survived by his daughter Effie .
