The State of Texas,

County of Wilson.

Know all men by these presents:

That I, Amanda Groce wife of Jas L Groce who departed this life 23rd day of 

February 1887

of the County of Wilson and, State of aforesaid, for and in consideration of 

the sum of thirty-five Dollars, to me in hand paid by D.H. Risinger have 

Granted, Sold and Conveyed, and by these presents do Grant, Sell and Convey, 

unto the said D.H. Risinger of the County of Burnet and State of Texas have 

sold and transferred to D.H. Risinger all of right title and interest in and to 

a certain tract of land situated in Burnet County, Texas known as the Allen 

tract of land about 10 miles N. from the town of Burnet the same now being 

occupied by D.H. Risinger and wife O.A. Risinger nee O.A. Groce same land 

purchased by Jas L Groce from Jas Newton.

To Have and to Hold the above described premises, together with all and 

singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging, unto the 

said D.H. Risinger his heirs and assigns forever. And I do hereby bind myself 

and my heirs, executors and administrators, to Warrant and Forever Defend, all 

and singular the said premises unto the said D.H. Risinger his heirs and 

assigns, against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same 

or any part thereof.

Witness my hand at Marcelena Texas this 20th day of September A.D. 1893

Before me, J.T. Ferguson J.P. and Exofficio Notary Public in and for Wilson 

County, Texas, on this day personally appeared Amanda Groce, known to me to be 

the person whose name is subscribed to the foregoing instrument, and 

acknowledged to me that she executed the same for the purposes and 

consideration therein expressed.

Given under my hand and seal of office, this 20th day of September A.D. 1893
