H. P. Allsup)            and between Daniel E. Allsup and Elizabeth
Allsup of the County of Burnet and State of Texas of the first part and
Henry P Allsup of the County of Burnet and State of Texas of the second
part Witnesseth:  That for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred
dollars cash in hand paid by the party of the second part the to the
parties of the first part the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged
and confessed; have this day Bargained Sold Conveyed, Set over and delivered
to the party of the second part his heirs and assigns the following
described lands and premises (to wit):  Two hundred and ten acres of land
more or less situated on the East Bank of the Colorado River in Burnet
County of the State of Texas in Backbond Valley said lands being of the
Headright of John Harvey.  Beginning on the South East Boundary line of
a tract of land conveyed by John Harvey to Thomas T. Harvey on East Bank
of the Colorado River 300 varas from the River a stake from which a live
oak brs S 34 o.  Thence running with said Thomas T. Harveys South East line
S 30 o E 1630 vs to a stake on the Bank of Station Creek from which a PO brs
N 5 o W 13 vs another brs S 4 o E 9 vs.  Thence a stake in the South East
boundary line of John Harveys Headright survey.  Thence South 60 o E 347 vs
corner on an Elm Tree marked #.  Thence N 60 o W 685 vs to the place of
beginning.  Containing Two Hundred and ten acres more or less.  To have and
to hold the party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever the title
of which the parties of the first part hereby warrant against the claim or
claims of all persons claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.
     In witness whereof the parties of the first part set their hands and
scrolls using scrolls for seal this 16th day of March A D 1871.

                          BEFORE ME J. T. WOODWARD
Notary Public of Burnet County personally came E E Allsup & Elizabeth Allsup
both to me known who surely acknowledged to me that they had signed and
delivered the foregoing deed for the uses and purposes and consideration
therein contained and the said Elizabeth Allsup being examined by me privily
and apart from her husband and having the said deed fully explained to her,
she the said Elizabeth Allsup acknowledged the same to be her act and deed
and declared that she had willingly signed and delivered the same and that
she wished not to retract it.
