Marriage of John Collier and Mary E. Fowler, 1838

State of Texas, Burnet County
To any ordained Minister of the Gospel, Judge of the District Court, Chief 
Justice of the County or a Justice of the Peace or either of you are hereby 
authorised to celebrate the rites of Matrimony between John Collier and Mary 
E. Fowler according to the law and usuages of this state and make due return 
of this your authority to the clerk of the county court of the aforesaid 
county within sixty days from the date hereof how you have executed this 
License. Given under my hand and seal of said court at office in Burnet 
August 20, 1838. James P. Magill, Clk CCBC.

I do hereby certify that I solemnized the rits of Matrimony between the 
persons named in the license above written on the 26th day of August AD 
1838. Tinis E. Festis ordained minister of the Gospel of the Cumberland 
Presbyterian Church.

Returned and recorded on the 9th day of September AD 1838. Jas. P. Magill
