Will of Thomas Noble--Burnet County, Texas Contributed by: Phyllis Hill (phill@redrock.net) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- The State of Texas ) Know all men by these presents that I Thomas Noble of Burnet County) the county of Burnet aforesaid, have this day, and do hereby make this my last Will and Testament-- Item first-I Will and bequeath all the property of which I may be possessed and of which I am the proper owner at the time of my death, to my beloved wife Sarah Ann Noble-But if my said wife should die before I do, I will and bequeath that my son Nathan Noble have all of the said property that I have hereinbefore bequeathed and willed to my beloved wife. Item Second- I will and bequeath that if my said wife shall die before my said son Nathan Noble, then my said son Nathan Noble shall have, own and possess all my estate both personal and real. But if my said Son Nathan Noble should die before my said wife, or if after the death of my said wife and my said son Nathan, there shall be no natural heir to my said Son Nathan, then all of my said estate shall be vested in and belong to my three sons John T. Noble, James P. Noble and Greene R. Noble. Item Third- It is my Will that my said Wife shall be supported during her natural life out of my said property, and that if she survives my said son Nathan, that my other three sons herein before mentioned shall support my said wife out of said property during her life or widowhood. Item Fourth- It is my Will and desire that at my death my said son Nathan, if living, shall immediately take charge of all my property and effects-and if my said Sons John T.-James P. & Greene R. shall survive said Nathan then they shall act in the exact capacity that I have herein prescribed for my said son Nathan to all intents and purposes Item Fifth- It is my Will and desire that after this Will and testament shall have been proved and recorded according to law, and after an Inventory shall have been filed and returned according to law, that the management of my said estate shall be wholly and entirely withdrawn from the Courts of the County, and that said Courts have nothing more whatever to do with the winding up and settling of my said estate and the carrying out and executing of this Will and Testament. And lastly I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my said Son Nathan Noble and execute this my last Will and Testament- And it is my Will and desire that my said son shall not give any bond for the performances of his duties as Executor of this Will-Given under my hand this 25th day of May 1868.
