Elizabeth Gause, of Elk City, died Tuesday April 16, 1968 in the Sayre Memorial hospital following and extended illness. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the First Presbyterian church, Sayre, with Rev. Jimmy Darnell officiating. Born Octboer 31, 1893 in Cleona, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Gause moved to Cheyenne in 1918 and married C.O. Gause in 1920. After his death she made her home in Elk City and Sayre where she lived with Mrs. McArney, Mrs. Swartwood and Mrs. Spence before her death. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church in Sayre for the past seven years. Survivors are one sister, Edith White, Brownsville, Texas; thre nieces and three nephews living in Pennsylvania. Pallbearers were George Stovall, Mike Neff, Larry Cooper, Blaine Puckett, Elmer Irwin, Horace Graham. Interment was in the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
