Fant Dies Pittsburg Gazette Pittsburg, Camp, Texas December 10, 1977 Services for Hardy Hellums Fant, 84, of 305 Fairview Street, Pittsburg, will be 2 p.m. Friday in Erman Smith Chapel with the Revs. Bob Braly, Alton Patton and M. R. Hancock officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg. Mr. Fant died 2 a.m. Thursday at his residence after a long illness. A Cass county native and a 40 year Pittsburg resident he was retired Linotype operator for the Pittsburg Gazette, a member of the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg and a member of the Oddfellows Lodge in Pittsburg. He was a correspondent for the Longview Morning Journal for over 30 years providing the Pittsburg community with coverage of social events and general news. Survivors include his wife Lottie, two sons, Bruce of Dallas and Hardy Hellums Fant Jr., of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two daughters, Mrs. Irene London of Pittsburg and Mrs. Beatrice Jordon of Cumby, Texas; two brothers, T. C. Fant of Durant, Mississippi and C. D. Fant of Molina, Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Eula Taylor of Dallas and Mrs. Nora Belyou of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, 11 grandchildren, 25 great- grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. ---
