Mary Parker Drowns Sunday
Pittsburg Gazette 13 Aug 1948

     Mary Parker, 3-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Parker, drowned at
the Kool Park natatorium Sunday afternoon.
     Her funeral was held at the First Baptist church at 4:30 p.m. Monday.
Rev. Eugene T. Moore officiated.  Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.
     The accident occured about 4 o'clock while she was swimming with her
sisters.  Her body was found in the shallow end of the pool and rushed to the
hospital for immediate attention.  Efforts to revive her failed.
