Martin of Pittsburg were held at the Cason Baptist Church Friday, May 14, following his death Tuesday, Rev. J.W. Reeder, Baptist Minister of Hughes Springs, directing rites. Burial was made in the Cason Cemetery. Robert N. Martin of Pittsburg was born Dec. 2, 1889, near Quitman, Wood County, and died May 1, 1937. He served in the World War in the 604th Regiment, Company C, went overseas and was gassed in the line of duty. He was a member of the American Legion at Pittsburg and of the Old Fellows Lodge at Joaquin. He is survived by his wife, Marie, and a daughter, Irene, a daughter, Dorothy of Baytown, child of a previous marriage, brother, W.H. Martin of Houston, sister, Mrs Katie Graham of Bivens, and his mother, Mrs. Wallace of Cason.
