Daniels, 70, Cass County pioneer, died Thursday night about 7 o'clock at the home of his daughter Mrs. T. A. Hamilton, in Hughes Springs. He had been in failing health the past seven years. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. L. Porter, who was assisted by Rev. G. T. Williams and Rev. J. W. Reeder, at the Hughes Springs Baptist Church. The body was taken to Floyd Hill Cemetery, East of Marietta, for burial. Surviving area one son, R. L. Daniels Jr., Corpus Christi; five daughters, Mrs. V. L. McCoy, San Antonio, Mrs. R. O. Teague, Conroe, Mrs. O. D. Nolen, Naples, Mrs. Hamilton, Hughes Springs, and Mrs. M. B. Murray, San Antonio; three grandsons and five granddaughters.
