Baucus Cemetery is in the deep overgrown East Texas woods of Cass County, 
Texas on County Road 4449, an unpaved dirt road between CR 4447 and 4448. 
Until 2009 over 100 years growth of trees, vines and vegetation engulfed the 
little cemetery not far from McLeod, Texas. Ronald Ellis Wade, great-great-
grandson of Dr. Benjamin Franklin Williams helped re-discover the cemetery 
using a satellite photo and is shown at the Baucus Cemetery after erecting Dr. 
Williams' monument at the cemetery.
