Tombstone notes: "Surgeon/Benjamin Franklin Williams/Company C/1 Alabama Cavalry/Confederate States of America/1829 - 1893". Additional Comments: A Civil War monument was erected for Dr. Benjamin Franklin Williams by his great-great grandson Ronald Ellis Wade, born 15 Sep 1950, along with his wife, Laura and children, Valentina and Victoria. It took from 1967 to 2009 for Ronald to locate the location of the burial place of Dr. Williams. Ronald's grandfather, James Clifton (Cliff) Langford had always wanted to find his grandfather's grave but was unable to and Ronald took up this task after his grandfather's death in 1967.
