It was taken in 1792. Census report which manifests the total number of Indians residing in this New Mission of Our Lady of Rosario, distant about two leagues from the Royal Presidio of La Bahia del Espiritu Santo, with particular distinction of classes, including the children, with expression of their status. Married Indians 1. The Governor of the town, Santiago, married; his family two children: one small boy and one small girl. 2. Juan AGUSTIN, married; without a family. 3. Jose GIL, married; without a family. 4. Fernando, married; without a family. 5. Joaquin, married; his family, one small boy. 6. Captain of the town, MARCOS, married; his family three children: one son 14 years old, and two small girls. 7. Estevan, married with Josefa; his family, one small daughter. 8. Diego, married; his family, three children: one son 9 years old, another 5 years old, one small girl, and a niece 8 years old. Indian Widowers 1. Alcalde, Jose LUIS; his family, one small son and one small daughter. 2. Juan NICOLAS: his family, one small daughter. Indian Widows 1. Joaquina. 2. Casilda. 3. Angela. 4. Maria; her family, one small daughter. 5. Florentina; her family, one son 10 years old, another small son, and one small daughter. Unmarried Indian Males 1. Jose MAREN. 2. Manuel. 3. Salvador. 4. Sertuche. 5. Gaspar. 6. Juan MARIA. Some Gentile Indians come and others leave. Due to the lack of funds they cannot remain; and according to the preceding sum, they exist in this New Mission of Our Lady of Rosario, not counting the Gentiles as expressed above, 53 persons, all of them Indians.
