Cherokee County TX Book K of Deeds, Bonds and conveyances, pp. 107-8 The State of Texas, County of Cherokee Know all men by these presents that I, Robert G. Stadler, of the afforesaid County and State, for the consideration of the love and respect I have for Moses D. Dickey, he being my lawful cousin of the County and State afforesaid, have this day donated or complemented and conveyed unto him the said Dickey, a certain tract or parcel of land, it being and laying as follows in the County of Cherokee and State afforesaid: Beginning at the SWC of Wm. F. Duty's Survey; Thence East 1448 vrs. to the SEC of said Survey; Thence South with the W. Boundary of Jas. L. Stadler's Survey, 600 vrs. to the SWC of the same; Thence East 600 vrs. to corner of the South Boundary of said Survey; Thence South tot he North Boundary of Wheelers Survey; Thence West to the West boundary line of the E. Haket League; Thence North to the beginning, containing 300 acres of land, more or less. To Have and to Hold unto him, the said Dickey, his heirs or assigns forever all and singular the right, title and interest thereunto belonging, I binding myself to Warrant and forever defend the title to said land unto the said Dickey, his heirs and assigns, in fee simple against the claims of myself, my heirs and assigns forever. In Testimony of all I have hereunto set my hand and seal dated this the 16th day of November A.D. 1853. /s/ Robert G. Stadler Seal Attest: John H. Kendrick, Wm. O'Hair [Clerk note original instrument and 1st page between the 4th and 5th lines from top the works (he being my lawful Cousin) is enterlined] The State of Texas, County of Cherokee Before me, R. J. Jennings, a Notary Public in and for the County and State above written, personally appeared Wm. O'Hair, who, after being sworn in due form according to Law, deposeth and sayeth that he saw Robert G. Stadler sign, seal and deliver to Moses D. Dickey the above deed of conveyance or instrument of writing in presence of John H. Kendrick and himself and at the same time asked him to attest the same for the purposes and considerations therein set forth and contained. This the 28th day of February, A.D. 1855. /s/ Wm.
