George W. Simpson was born about 1847 according to census records, and died 
sometime after 1890 according to the dates of his children's birth on census 
records. George married Angelina Thomason 1868 Angelina County, Tx. Their children 
are J.T. Simpson and Tiney Bell Simpson Goodwin. After Angelina's death, George 
married Kansas Manley 1881 Cherokee County, Tx. Their children are: Georgia, 
Washie, Hattie, and Sugar.

George's parents are: Thomas L. and Sarah A. Simpson. Sarah donated the land for 
which Simpson Cemetery is established. His siblings are: Charles S, Edward D, John 
M, Caroline, Sarah L, and Stephen.
