The ceremoney (sic) was performed by Rev Stuckey and was witnessed by only a few friends. The couple took the train immediately after the ceremony for Henrietta, where they will reside. Mr. Burry is a prominent merchant of Henrietta and his bride is one of Bowie's most popular young ladies. Undated and assumed to be the Henrietta Herald: Mr. and Mrs. Burry arrived home safely Thursday evening and in testimony of the groom's popularity, were tendered a delightful serenade Thursday night by the Henrietta cornet band. Mr. Burry is an prosperous young business man of this city and many friends join the Herald in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life. Ok City, 12-11-1921, son Edward B Burry and Cleo Hubbell married Capital Hill Church. Edward Burry and Mary Rosebrook married 3-9-1927 Ok City. Adolph Burry born 5-5-1864. Belle Harris Burry born 6-10-1876. Edward Bellamy Burry born Thanksgiving Day 1897. (son of Adolph and Belle) Papa A A Harris DOB 3-17-1848; DOD Friday, 2-19-1927. Martha Harris DOB 2-14-1852 Additional Comments: This Bible was found at a garage sale in Wichita Falls TX. Adolph and Belle Harris Burry had one son, who died without issue. No Harris relatives can be found. I have been looking for over a year. 1900 census Mr. and Mrs. Burry are in Clay County TX, Henrietta and Nacona respectively. 1920 - 1940 they lived in OK City. The Harris family, A A or Artemus A Harris and wife Mattie are found in Bedford Co TN in 1880. 1900 - 1920 in Montague County TX. Belle Harris Burry's first name may be Holly or Hollie with Belle as her middle name.
