Two cursing, roughly dressed bandits robbed the First State Bank at Morton, Cochran County, of $17, 692.46 Wednesday after forcing employees and customers into a vault at a pistol point. The pair, one makes, fled with a third man who waited outside in an automobile. Vice-President W. W. Williamson announced the amount after a check. The victims were told to remain in the vault thirty minutes or "we'll kill every one of you." They left within five minutes, Williamson said, and he notified Sheriff Mac W. Hancock. The men sped east and then turned south toward Bledsoe in a maroon convertible coupe with a missing headlight.
