A viewing will be held from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013 at Ellis Funeral Home in Morton, with formal family visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be at Morton Memorial Cemetery in Morton, Texas. Mr. Dewbre died July 20, 2013 in Smithville, Texas. He was born on May 7, 1964 to James E and Lanelle Dewbre in Morton. Mike graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's Degree in Ag Economics. While there, he was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity, serving as President, Vice- President, and Pledge Trainer. He was also involved with the Interfraternity Council and the Agricultural Economics Association. Mike previously worked from 1988 to 1995 as an auditor and investigator for the Texas Railroad Commission. From 1995 until 2010 he was a management auditor and Investigator IV for the Texas Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Colorado River Cowboy Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandparents, Sonny and Zena Dewbre, and Tom and Hazel Jackson. Survivors include his sons, Jackson Dewbre and Stefan Dewbre of Dallas, Texas, and sisters, Mickie Williams and Martie Dewbre of Portales N.M.
