Clay Coursey of Morton officiating. Burial will be at Morton Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Gilliam died Sept. 5, 2013 in Morton, Texas. He was born on Nov. 2, 1930 in Lynn County, Texas to Emory Clinton and Lena (Scillian) Gilliam. He married Betty Massey in Clovis, N.M. on Oct. 3, 1954. He was in the Army during the Korean War and moved to the Enochs Community in 1954. Mr. Gilliam drilled water wells for 52 years. He enjoyed playing the piano and watching sports, particularly the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved coaching his kids in sports as they were growing up. He cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers; Jimmy, Jerry, Lester and Dean. Survivors include his lovely wife, Betty; sons, Michael Wayne Gilliam and wife Ila of Cross Plains, Texas, Marvin Tod Gilliam and wife Kimberly of Brownwood, Texas, and Dub Allen Gilliam of Morton; daughter, RaDonna Kay Lambert and husband Larry of Tuscola, Texas; sister, Linda Butler of Marble Falls, Texas; brothers, Gilbert Gilliam of Farwell, Texas, Carlton Gilliam of Arkansas, and Vester Gilliam of Morton, Texas; grandchildren, Cole Gilliam, Jeremy Gilliam, Brandon Gilliam, Lance Gilliam, Ky Gilliam, Tara Cole, Larrisa Lambert, Courtnie Robinson and Nick Lambert; ten great-grandchildren.
