Mayfield, LadyTexian@tcainternet.com TX Tombstone Project Manager **************************************************************** Surveyed by Mrs. Mike Lomas and Mrs. T. N. Wylie, February 3, 1974. Located 4 miles east of Robert Lee on State Highway 158, turning right 8 miles on an unpaved lane and on the Daisy McCutchen ranch. The surveyor has entitled this un-named cemetery, the Immigrant Cemetery because of the folk-lore surrounding its establishment. Prior to the turn of the century immigrants passing through developed typhoid fever and while encamped because of the illness, four died and were buried on this cedar hill. These graves are covered with sandstone blocks apparently cut by the immigrants. There are two other graves in the cemetery unmarked except for sandstone headstones. The only marked graves are those of children, possibly of early settlers HARRIS, Geneva - Jun. 12, 1899 - Nov. 21, 1900 Daughter of R.
