San Angelo Standard-Times, Jan. 26, 1997 Mr. and Mrs. Garland Davis LOVINGTON, N.M. - Mr. and Mrs. Garland Davis, formerly of Robert Lee, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a surprise dinner, Dec. 27, 1996, at Henry's Diner in San Angelo. Garland Davis and Rose Marie Sawyer were married Dec. 26, 1956, in Robert Lee. They have three children, Glenn Davis of Cotulla, Gary Davis of Plains and Copie Davis of Austin. They also have three grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Davis have lived in Robert Lee, Medina, Austin, Ozona, Dripping Springs and Lovington, N.M., since their wedding. He retired from the Texas Public School System after 35 years of service. He is principal of Lea Elementary School. Hosts for the dinner were the couple's children and grandchildren.
