KP] THE RUSTLER, Saturday, October 10, 1893 Local Chips = Last Tuesday Mr. 0. W. WILLIAMSON, of Hayrick, bought out the Drag business of Charles ROE. We wish him success in our midst. Messrs STEWART and HARRISON bought out Mr. Andrew JORDAN's grocery business this week. While we regret to loose Mr. JORDAN as a business man, we are glad that the business will go on. Mr. George PERRY left last Tuesday for Scurry County. We regret to see him leave our county, and congratulate those who are lucky enough to have him locate in their midst. Messers. J. T. DAVIS and lady went to San Angelo this week, shopping. Rev. J. C. SHLS was in our city the first of the week. MARRIED - on last Thursday evening Mr. J. B. CORLEY and Miss Delay B. STOWE were united in wedlock at the residence of Rev. G. C. FIELD, Rev. FIELD officiating. Both parties were of the Bronte neighborhood and quite a number of friends accompanied them to witness the ceremony. Mr. James MARTIN and lady, of Comanche county, came in last Friday and are visiting the family of Mr. T. B. ANDREWS about five miles west of town and will spend the winter in our county and will perhaps locate here then. Rev. AVERITT and J. R. PATERSON are making some improvements about their place. The RUSTLER, Saturday, December 16,1893 Obituary: On December the 7th______ May, daughter of H. M. and C. L. ACKLESON, died. Her mother had left her for a few moments with her little brother at play and her apron caught on fire, which badly burned her before the mother could return and extinguish the flames. Death occured in twenty-four hours. The RUSTLER, Saturday, January 20,1894 Local Chips = Justice DAVIS' court was doing business yesterday. Mr. Chas ROE went to San Angelo last Sunday. Rev. W. S. LANE was in town the first of the week. Mr. George WILLIAMSON and F. B. PERRY went to Ballinger the first of the week. Rev. G. F. FAIR, of Edith, was in our city Tuesday. Mr. Syma ODOM, of Ft. Chadbourne, spent a few days in our city this week. Mr. J. H. DANCER, visited the Oak Creek country last week as a business trip, returning Tuesday. Constable G. N. WEBB, of the Chadbourne precinct was in town Wednesday and gave the Rustler office an appreciated call. Mr. W. M. BILLINGSLEA, of Fort Chadbourne, was in town Wednesday in attendance of court. Mr. Z. BOOZICER was on our streets Wednesday. Mr. H. H. HALEY is making some substantial improvements by building some additions to the house he purchased of Mr. JORDAN. Miss Ola BROOKS spent a few days in the city this week, visiting friends. Quite a number of Fort Chadbourne people were in attendance at the STOKES-McPETERS preliminary trial here Wednesday Thursday. The little child of Mr. and Mrs. HAMILTON has been quite sick for several days. Later: It died Sunday at 8:30 o'clock and was buried Monday at Hayrick. The bereaved parents and relatives have the sympathies of the entire community. Mr. I. S. BALDWIN, one of Kickapoo's prosperous farmers, was in town Wednesday. CHAPMAN was in our city Thursday and Friday attending the county alliance meeting. Mr. H. H. HAYLEY moved into his new home just complete last Thursday. Mr. McPETERS of Ft. Chadbourne, was in our town Monday. County Attorney McCARTY was in Wednesday. Mr. H. A. WOLFLIN, of near Edith, was on our streets Monday. Mr. W. P. WALLING spent Monday in our city. Rev. John REED of Edith was in our City Monday. Dr. J. 0. CLARK of Bronte, was in our City Tuesday and Wednesday. At the dance at Chas. ROE's on the night of the 2nd inst. an altercation occurred between him and Harry PATTEN, in which the former received a stab in the neck with a knife, which made quite a sore wound for a few days.
