Miss Ollie SMITH, of Cow Creek, gave the Rustler office a pleasant visit Monday. Prof STUART will begin a subscription school Monday. Messrs, Julian BROOKS and HUGHES, of near Hayrick, gave the Rustler sanctum a pleasant call Wednesday. Mr. George WILLIAMSON informs us that he killed a pig this week less than six months od, which weighed a little over 160 #. Who can beat that? Mr. Marvin PERRY and W. C. BARRON, of Sanco, was in town Monday. Messrs. J. W. BARNETT and J. W. REED are preparing to open up a dry goods store in our city, about the first of next month. Mr. Will COLLYNS, of Water Valley, was in town Tuesday. Mr. J. H. BURROUGHS, returned Saturday from Waco, where he had been attending the Odd Fellows Grand Lodge. Mr. Will HULSE, of Kickapoo, gave the Rustler office a pleasant call last Tuesday. Bronte Doings: Prof W. D. JONES was kept out of the school room two or three days last week on account of sickness in his family. Mr. Frank WOULLARD, our young friend that happened to such a serious accident Christmas is able to walk around with the aid of a crutch. Rev. G. F. FAIR was not at his appointment at this place Sunday, in consequence of the weather. McELROY and lady, of Ballinger, were visiting in our city the first of the week. District Attorney PERRYMAN moved back to our town last week and will make it his future home. J. A. W. C. BURR at ten o'clock a. m. Rev. William LYNN and Miss Mamie CAMPBELL were united in the holy bonds of matrimony. Rev. B. L. HANCOCK officiating. The school in the Ft. Chadbourne district is moving along under the management of Prof. B. U. SMITH. Miss Lula DOUGLAS is now teaching at Rock Springs school house. The literary society at Cow Creek school house is moving along nicely. Miss Janie STEWART is teaching at that place now. There was a wedding in the Canyon last Sunday. Mr. W. LYNN and Miss Mamie CAMPBELL commonly known as BURR, uniting in matrimony. Mesers. L. P. WOOD and RUSHTELLE, of Runnells City, were here after their cattle in Hamilton Whiteside pasture, recently. Their loss was very heavy. We are sorry to learn of the death of Grandma LEWIS, mother of Jno. R. LEWIS. She died at Burleson, her old home. We hear that the family of W. J. GLASS will move to Robert Lee, to send their children to school. Miss Lou HANNA, of Oak Creek, has gone to the Territory to see her sister, who has been very sick. On last Wednesday morning, sheriff MONTGOMERY arrested a man named Horace MARR, out a few miles from town, on a charge of burglarizing a tent and taking from it a stake rope.
