S. Government's International Cooperation Administration. It is the third trip to the far east for Mr. Bloodworth. His first assignment was for a two year period in Burma and he and his family returned early this summer from 2 1/2 years in Thailand. He is going back for two more years. Allen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Bloodworth of Silver and grew up in Coke County. He is a graduate of Texas A & M College and was a vocational ag teacher at Mason when he accepted the government position. The family has spent some time with Silver and Robert Lee relatives, and also visited Mrs. Bloodworth's mother, who resides at Bryan. Allen recently completed a three weeks refresher course in agriculture and education at A & M. The family left Silver early Monday for Los Angeles. T hey are driving a used car which they purchased when they arrived in California three months ago. The auto will be sold before they start their long plane trip Saturday. Three days are to be spent in Manila and two days in Hongkong before arriving at Bangkok Aug. 17. Bangkok is the capital of Thailand and a city of more than a million people. It is headquarters for Mr. Bloodworth and his family resides there while he travels through the country assisting the Minister of Education in establishing vocational ag schools. He finds the people very cooperative, honest and reliable, and his work has turned out to be pleasant and highly interesting. He plans to continue studying the Thai language, which originated in China and is considered quite difficult. Thailand is a tropical countfy and the climate is good. It is cool and pleasant from October to February, then hot and humid until May, with the rainy season extending from May until October, Mr. and Mrs. Bloodworth have three children, Bill, 17, Barbara, 15, and Mary, 3 1/2 years. They attend an international school in Bangkok. About 26 nations are represented in the enrollment, of 300 students. Classes run from primary through high school.
