Sam and Anna (Benson) King were long time residents of Coke County. They were married on January 1, 1890, in the home of W. C. Benson in Edith. One hundred and nine family members and friends were registered. The day was spent visiting, swimming, eating, and trying to stay cool in the afternoon. Sam Plumlee, Jr. and Tim King sang and played their guitars. Attending the event were: Thomas (T. L.
