King Family Reunion

The descendants of the late Sam and Anna King gathered for their 
annual reunion on Saturday, August 2, 2003, at the Robert Lee 
Community Center.  Sam and Anna (Benson) King were long time 
residents of Coke County.  They were married on January 1, 1890, 
in the home of W. C. Benson in Edith.

One hundred and nine family members and friends were registered. 
The day was spent visiting, swimming, eating, and trying to stay 
cool in the afternoon. Sam Plumlee, Jr. and Tim King sang and 
played their guitars.

Attending the event were:  Thomas (T. L. King) family: Lorraine 
Brooks, and Angel and Mike Wade of Artesia, NM; Anna Mae Hartsell, 
Kathy and Larry Hartsell of Ardmore, OK; Kay and David Hall, Josh 
King and Brian Morin of Arlington.

Will (W. S.) King family:  Don and Dorothy King of Stanley, NM.

Beulah King Gaines family:  Randy Gaines, Jess and Dorothy Gaines 
of Dallas, Belinda Biddle of Sherman, Dorothy and Scott MacCormack 
of Fort Worth, Alene and David Key, and Dee Anna and Joe Harmon
