Obituary: Bertha Mae (Mrs. A. E.) Rusk, April 2, 1956 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines July 2015 *********************************************************************** The Bronte Enterprise, Coke County, April 6, 1956 Funeral Held Here for Mrs. Rusk Funeral services for Mrs. A. E. Rusk, 50, was held from the First Baptist Church in Bronte, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. N. T. Gault, pastor of the Baptist Church at Maverick, was in charge of the last rites. Mrs. Rusk died Monday in a San Angelo hospital. She had lived with her family in the Maverick community for a number of years prior to moving to Bronte a few years ago. Mr. Rusk is employed by the State Highway Department. Survivors include her husband; three sons Leo Rusk of Houston, Earl Rusk of Lubbock, and John Rusk of Bronte; two daughters Mrs. Wallace Martin of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Glen Hurt of El Paso. Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at San Angelo under direction of Clift Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Virgil Cole, Leland Carlton, Arnold Hurt, William Fletcher, J. B.
