B. Sheppard Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday for Andrew Burton Sheppard, 63, lifelong resident of Coke County. Mr. Sheppard died Monday at 12:30 a.m. in West Coke County Hospital. He had been in ill health for about a year. Last rites were held at First United Methodist Church with the pastor, the Rev. Bobby Palmos, officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. James M. Rogers, pastor of Pecan Baptist Church. Burial was in Robert Lee cemetery under direction of Williams Funeral Home. Mr. Sheppard was born July 14, 1905, in Coke County, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Sheppard. He married Pearl McCabe April 23, 1925, in Abilene. Mr. Sheppard was a farmer and stockman. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; one son, Floyd Sheppard of El Paso; one daughter, Mrs. Sarah Lou Davis of Mission; three sisters, Mrs. Vera Robbins of Natalia, Mrs. Lucy Shelton of Houston and Mrs. Lou Jane King of Abilene; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers were nephews: Wayne McCabe, J. O. Counts, Holman King, Fred McCabe, Jr., Miles Robbins, Dwain Shelton, K. C. Collier, Telvey Robbins and Ajax Simpson.
